Taylors Falls, Minnesota, a quaint village, nestled in the St Croix Valley, is something to rave about!
There are many things to do in Taylors Falls year round. In the winter months the most popular activities are skiing and snowboarding. Just seven miles north of Taylors Falls along the St. Croix River is Wild Mountain Recreation Area, with skiing, snowboarding and new this year Wild Chutes snow tubing. Long known for its excellent conditions, Wild Mountain can now offer recreation for everyone year round!
Visit the historic Angel Hill District, which features the Folsom House built in 1855 and the United Methodist Church built in 1861, the second oldest operating church in Minnesota. The Angel Hill District also features the oldest schoolhouse in Minnesota, built in 1852.
Stroll through Minnesota Interstate Park and the famous Glacial Gardens. Taylors Falls has two Interstate Parks (Minnesota and Wisconsin), as well as Wild River State Park. All of the parks are right on the river and feature great paths for walking and touring.
Make sure you visit our downtown, with its antique shops, coffee shops, ice cream shops and gift shops.

To enjoy the river, climb aboard the Taylors Falls Princess or the Taylors Falls Queen, two authentic paddlewheel river boats on the St. Croix River. This year Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours will be celebrating its 100th year of business. They offer scenic boat trips daily, seven days a week from May through mid-October. Enjoy the natural setting, beauty and the wonders of the St. Croix River Valley. These narrated trips provide fascinating details on the history of the river and background of the area.
Aboard the excursion boats you will view the world famous Old Man of the Dalles and Holy Cross rock formations. The Holy Cross is the very cross that inspired the name of the St. Croix, which means holy cross in French.
If you want to view the beauty of the St. Croix close up, Taylors Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental specializes in one-way canoe or kayak trips from two to six hours of nature-filled paddling.
Your trip will take you downstream, traveling with the current. Its a smooth section of the river with no rapids. Canoeing experience is not necessary to enjoy this stretch of the river. Once youve reached your destination, free shuttles are provided to return you to your car.
Just minutes north of Taylors Falls is Wild Mountain Recreation Park, featuring water slides, alpine slides, and Formula K go-carts. Wild Mountain features activities and rides for all ages.
The newest summer attraction at Wild Mountain features Wild Adventure Island, an interactive play area with four water slides, a cargo climbing net, a 350-gallon tipping bucket and lots more. It is nestled within the confines of the lazy river and has a zero-depth to 18-inch play area.
Taylors Falls is filled with many recreational opportunities year round that people of all ages will enjoy! Come for an hour, the day or stay for the week.
