Comedian Gabe Gibbs comes to St. Croix Falls
The Historic Auditorium in downtown St. Croix Falls, WI, continues to celebrate “homecoming” as audiences return to this 1916 Vaudeville-era performance hall.
Headlining in September is Gabe Gibbs, who is on a national tour with his “Sweet Serenades” show on Saturday, September 14th at 7:30 pm
“The fact that we were able to book Gabe between his shows in Boston and Chicago continues to amaze me,” said Rebecca Stenberg, Communications Director. “For the last ten years, Gabe has done it all. Striking out on a nationwide tour is a testament to the trajectory of a comedian who will soon be a household name.”
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Gabe Gibbs leaped into the national limelight in the lead role of Elder Price for the 2014 Broadway Tour of “Book of Mormon.” Gibbs’ credits also include the big screen with “Tumbledown” and the ABC series “Schooled” as the loveable, high school athlete, Weasel.
“For St. Croix Valley and Twin Cities audiences, I have a feeling this show will create a sense of ‘We knew him when,’” said Danette McCarthy, booking agent for River Rose Productions. “This young man is an extraordinary musician, plus extremely creative and witty. It’s very difficult to compare him to anyone, but in my mind he’s a mash up of Steve Martin, Tom Lehrer, Andy Kaufman, and half of Tenacious D. Which half, who knows!”
The Historic Auditorium is located on the north end of downtown St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin at 210 Washington Street. This 1916 performance hall is on the National and State Registers of Historic Places and was fully rehabilitated (2023-2024) to provide and elevator to the third-floor performance hall, increase restrooms and all accessibility needs, all new HVAC, and in partnership with Festival Theatre, the addition of state-of-the-art sound & lighting equipment.
